Angry Heater Core Trouble

I have a 2000 F-150 4x4 with the 5.4 Triton automatic. When winter started the truck didnt heat well, a little heat but not much. Put a bottle of Motorcraft Radiator flush in it and it started heating a little more but not half of what it should have. Both heater hoses were warm but one was warmer than the other. Started the truck yesterday and the blower is vibrating real bad which I don't understand and antifreeze fumes are now coming through the vents and a small puddle of antifreeze on the garage floor under the passenger side of the truck. I know the heater core is a bear to get to but if anyone has any input please help, Especially about the blower fan vibration. Thanks.

it is a cracked heater core which really sucks that our a torn hose. I havent fixed my heater core problem either because it is so hectic. I just cut the two hoses from the heater core, bought some hose clamps, and clamped the two houses together thus bypassing the heater core. I did it too late and my heater core busted all the way and cab filled with smoke and now i stained my floor with orange marks from the coolant. bypass it until you can fix it so you dont damage your vehicle it is running hot and it will later down the line cause cylinder mis fires cause fluid is spraying out and gets in the plugs... happened to me... Open your hood start the truck and turn the heater on so you can find the source. mine was spraying out clean across the entire engine. a really bad leak.

The heater core is a real PITA. It took me three days to replace mine. The whole dash has to come out. If you replace it be sure to save the quick couplings and O rings where the hoses hook to the heater core. They are $27.50 for two plastic clips and 2 O rings.

avator is right. Change the blend door. Thats what broke on my 99 F-150. I changed the heater core while I was in there. Taking out the dash is a super pain. I took lots of pictures along the way so I could remember where everything went. Take your time and you can handle it. It's not hard just time consuming.
