I have a 2015 6.2. whenever the truck downshifts from 2nd to 1st, i can hear and feel and clunk. I used the manual mode to see if anything would change and i decided to come to a stop in 2nd gear and then press the down button to shift to 1st and the clunk happened as soon as i ht the button. otherwise every other gear, shift, etc works perfect.
Take it into the dealer. Try as I might, I haven't been able to detect when my truck shifts down to first gear without looking at the display. I almost have to completely stop before it drops down to first. I can feel it go into second on the way down from the engine braking effect, but never feel first. Smooth as silk.

I'd bring this to the attention of your dealer, Homerunking2394. If possible, take your tech on a test drive so you can demonstrate the clunk for them. How many miles are on your truck?
Good god Sarge do they still have dry slip joints on 2015s. Gawd I hope not.
2-1 harsh down shift sounds to me like a TCM software or a bad solenoid problem. Your still under your drive-train warranty...hopefully. Get in in and have the codes read. There could be a TCB on that? Do you see any flashing lights on the dash?
