Lowering Ex

Well after months of looking we finally purchased a Ex it's a 02 7.3 and we are very happy so far, how ever it has a 6inch lift and it's a bit tall for us. So we are thinking of dropping it to a 4inch lift and smaller tires (37- to a 33 or 35's) my question is do I just purchase a 4 inch lift and swap it out, I know I will receive new from springs, shorter blocks for the rear along with new Ubolts and shocks and track bar.. I belive it's that simple or am I wrong. Thanks guys. We would also like to thank the members that look at Ex's for us and that gave any advice..

When I got my Ex it had an 8 in lift. Do a search for V/B mod on the forums. When I lowered mine I went to that setup. It give almost a 2in lift over a stock setup. Lots of EX owners upgrade their suspension to this configuration.

Check to see if the rear driveline was lengthened and it may have a dropped pitman arm.

Verify the gear ratio. Many people regear when the jump to 37's

Location? Might find someone nearby that will swap springs with you that has a lift and wants a higher one.

NO, it's not that easy. Your X only has a 4" LIFT. A SD 4" lift gives the X 6"s, So your best option is as already mentioned, go with the V/B Mod or any of the many variants there of. You can look through the thread of everyone's before & after measurements to dial in exactly where you want to be.

That's kind of where I was going... I have this brand new v/b lift on mine and if he's close...
