Maybe someone here can help me with this. I have been fighting this vibration issue for over a year now. started last year at highway speeds 60-75. last winter I put new snow tires on a different set of rims it got worst. Had the tire shop balance tires again. helped a little but got worst as the winter progressed. Last spring put old wheels back on same thing. now put on the winter wheels. they balanced them again still vibration but something new. When you only have the passenger windows open the vibration is almost deafening when you open the other windows or close them it mostly goes away. I might add that the driveline and front end has been looked at by 3 different shops all saying everything looks good. Any thoughts? thanks!
I have this problem, been dealing with it since my first Ex... I now have my square tires trued by a specialty shop and I have all four wheels and tires high speed balanced on the actual truck. Old school equipment from like the 60's it truly is incredible to watch how it's done while the ex is on blocks.
This drove me nuts on my first Excursion, until I was recommended to this shop here in Fort Lauderdale.
On my 02' I had purchased 4 new BFG's from Ford. They even did road force balancing 3 times still leaving me with vibrations. Dealer spent 3 days with that one looking over every possibility, they concluded to have drive shaft balanced. That wasn't it either! Very frustrating! Now even when doing New Tires I go there for balancing...
If you look in your area, look for " tire Truing " and "balance tires on vehicle"...
Good luck, first check the obvious things and if all good. Try above.
Maybe you can hang a Go Pro underneath to find which wheel/s is vibrating.
You may have a very out of balance rotor.
You can put a runout gauge on the tires to see how round they are.
If you can find an old spin-on-the-car balancer it would easily test the front wheels/rotors for balance. I have one, but I live in CA.
Have not worked it yet as I can feel a rotor issue when I lightly press brake pedal. I assume is a rotor issue or a stuck slider on caliper.
If your brakes have been checked by a good shop and are good, I would recheck everything as "typically" vibration at a specific speed is not tires related. They will vibrate at all speeds, just more noticeable at higher speeds.
My diagnostics will be:
1) brake system
2) wheel hub assemblies
3) shocks and stabilizer
4) steering linkage
5) track bar bushings
6) ball joints
If none of those work I would make sure 4X4 is not acidentally engaging as that can happen.
If it still has issues have torque converter checked.

I know it sounds strange but I had a bad injector a while back and the truck would vibrate and shudder around 60mph when the truck shifted into overdrive. A quick way to tell is turn overdrive when the vibration starts and see if it stops it.
It would be good to now more about your Trk. Year, engine, etc...
On my wife's 05 I had a vibration, since we bought it new, the pinion seal started leaking so I had the local ford dealer do a pinion seal, the vibration is now 70% less. I think the torque on the pinion shaft was incorrect. Just something to look into.
I have it sometimes at higher speeds. I do think it's all in the tire balancing and that I need to find a shop to do it on the truck. I have one wheel with a lot of weights on it and I don't like seeing that. Either a wobbly tire/wheel or someone who didn't know how to run the balancer did it...
