All, I have been restoring an old 87 F150 2WD 4.9L 300 I6, with the C6 transmission and it has been fun, but sometimes frustrating. Last week I tried starting it again for the first time in a year, after putting all the wiring back in and routing everything and ensuring everything I could to get it right and tight.
Well, the truck didn't start, It turns over strong (I put in a new battery)I have all my lights, turn signals, interior etc. It has spark at the plugs but no fuel and no heater/blower.
I did a check on my Fuel relay (Green) and where I am supposed to have current I do, but when I checked the EEC Relay (brown) I have a hot wire that is not supposed to be hot. Not sure why. Also when I hook up my battery I get a sweet smelling (burning/hot) smell in the cab.
