I've been out on halloween in a few other bigger college towns and haven't had this much trouble. Chico can get ridiculous, but at least we could get service there. It seemed like every bar here was terribly unprepared and understaffed.

Here's one for you all.
I had an appointment for the service guy to come out and look at my hot tub today. Said he'd be here between 10:00 and 10:30. I called at 12:45 on my way to school since I hadn't heard from him.
The office didn't know where he was. She said she'd look into it. No call back by the time I got out of lab at 5:30, so I called the office up and he wasn't back yet... She promises he'll call first thing in the morning.
I got that story last week though when she said he'd call to schedule service. Everything with these people is about 3 days late...

Happy thirsty Thursday Nor Cal FTE.
I actually had to put a blanket on this morning. Got cold in the apartment. Not cold enough to turn the heater on yet, but cold enough to keep the fans off.
