I know there were several variations of the "3+1" overdrive 4 speed used, but I thought all F and E series used the all cast iron version with the bolt on shifter, not the integral shifter of the Srod.
Pictures of the trans and shifter would be helpful.
SROD is the general name for the 3 spd +OD trans. There were full 4 spd variants installed in many Ford cars in the 60s and 70s. The model years I mentioned are by memory of one of NumberDummy's posts, so I could very well be wrong, hopefully he'll be by shortly

Understood, but...
it has always been my understanding that the "SROD" stood for Single Rail Over Drive and referred to a specific type 3 speed + OD trans, one that had the integral shifter.
From my experiences, these all had aluminum tail housings and some also had aluminum cases. All of these were weak and not suited for truck use.
I have one of the all cast iron 3+1 transmissions, with a bolt on shifter, in the '66 that is my avatar. As I remember it and the shifter came from a late 70's Granada and/or Monarch.
