89 F150 throttle response

I have a 1989 F150 4x4 5.0 Maz5spd, My question is: Is it normal when revving the engine for it to idle down so slowly? When ever I rev the motor it responds well, but then it's slow to idle back down. Is this common with EFI? It's not like my older carberated trucks, with them the engine keeps up with the gas pedal. Any ideas let me know.

could be a possible vacumme leak somewhere try checking the around the throttle body and air filter attatchments. make sure they are all sealed well.

Manually open and quickly close the throttle with your hand. If it revs down fast with you closing it fast, it could be a linkage/spring problem. If not, DrFord could be on to something. But this seems to be the easiest test to get started with.
