Post idle problem

i have problems with the idle on my truck, 1988 ford f150 5.8 liter, high idle when cold drops to normal idle, then when i put it in drive drops a little more, normal, when i put it back into park the idle increases high and wont drop to normal, stomp the gas pedal 3-4 times it will drop down, put it back into park the idle goes up again, have a rebuilt engine also replace many fuel injection sensors along with new motor, replaced the following, evp, byp, tps, evr, ect, adjusted timimg to specified degrees according to the manuel.checked vacum hoses and replaced , any suggestions on what to check, i adjusted the tps sensor to specified volts.

idle problem

Clean the IAC valve (idle air control) and the throttle body butterfly. Also with the engine idling, pull the connector off the IAC. The truck should slowly die. If it keeps running, the throttle butterfly is adjusted too far open. If the truck dies quickly, the throttle butterfly is adjusted too far closed. If you adjust the throttle stopm you might want to re-check your idle volts from the TPS.
