I have a 2000 F-350 SuperDuty with a 7.3 liter diesel which stops running after about two minutes and does this each and every time I start it. I've drained the filter bowl and change the fuel filter which did not help. I've also noticed the fuel pump solenoid gets extremely hot to the touch. If the culprit is the fuel pump would a pump other than FORD pump work? If so, where can I buy one....
Addition... Found the fuel pump to be ok...just air in the supply lines. I thought I had run the engine enough to get all the air out but evidently not. After starting, stopping, etc. finally all is back to normal.
