So I've had these really neat LED semi truck marker lights floating around in a bag for a while now.
Caught a nice spring/summer day today, so I decided to do something about it.
Instead of doing marker lights on the cab, I wanted to do something a bit different. I hope it looks good!
The tow hooks were already there, installed by the previous owner. The biggest issue I came across is that the hooks were not spaced apart equally, so I had to try and place the lights in such a way that they didn't look unequal or look strange with the hooks.
Hardest part was running the wire through the bed and getting those dang bed caps off.
They look pretty neat at night, which was the whole idea.:
After I finished the first side, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not...but I kept going...only one side looks dumber than two sides.

I have to admit..it was hard to drill that first hole. Three holes drilled, PER light. One for the electrical wires and two small holes for the screws.
Pete this job took me the entire day. 9 a.m. until 5 with an hour break for lunch and plenty of 10 minutes here 10 minutes there screwoff trips into the house and whatnot.
I'm getting ready to do something similar to my 24' flatbed trailer, except I'm wiring them into the turn signal in hopes SOMEONE will notice I'm trying to change lanes. I don't hold out much hope, but I figure why not.
That looks pretty good Lisa. Nice job on the install.
Looks cool. I don't think I've ever seen that done before either. Where did u find the International symbol thats on the tailgate? I'd like to put one of those on the F550.
