Plus better tire life, much better fuel econ, increased towing capacity and less future maintenance, as well as better ride.

I wouldn't be with out 4wd unless I never left the beaten path. The 4wd drive train is significant in dead weight and aerodynamic drag when not in use.

With good highway steer tires and mild argessive rear tires and a ls or elocker you can get where ever you need to if full timing in your rv.
