I was browsing the Bullnose forum and I noticed some references to Under Dash Courtesy Lights.
Apparently some pre-86 trucks were pre-wired for a socket and bulb that would illuminate the driver's and passenger's feet area when you opened the doors.
Here's the only photo I could find. What I'm talking about is on the left:
Does anyone have any information on these? Am I going to have to go searching for Bullnoses at the local pick and pull? Anything before 1990 is getting harder and harder to find at the yards in New England.
These were much more common in the 70s, especially on GMs. The only Ford that I own that has these is my 1978 Ranchero. Any GM car 1970-1985 or so is going to have them, so I suggest you look there, those are much more plentiful in the JYs. I retrofitted a set on my 1980 Datsun pickup back in the day and I got them from a 1971 Skylark.
