Question Dash Lighting

I just returned from a trip to Canada and I can't read the km/h on my dash. In fact if the sunlight is just right I have a hard time knowing how fast I'm going. When its dark and its lite up its fine but without the back lighting its very hard to read. Is there a fix for this?????????? Thanks.

Check your dash illumination dial next to headlights, it may be set to low for you to see. Just a thought, Chris.

Maybe lightly tint the driver and pass doors?

My truck does the same thing. It's the way it is. Only work around is to throw something over the sensor in the center of the dash to make it think it's dark outside.

I don't understand why the computer turns the lights off when the headlight switch is on. You would think that if I want the lights on I want them on not to be over ridden by the stupid computer.

Thanks for the reply. Have you discussed this with your dealer?

Yes - It's the way the truck is designed.

No just spin it- its a dial. It will dim and brighten depending which way you spin it.
