Hello,
In post #6 there is a picture of a 7 pin trailer plug receptacle with the the 2 stock pig-tail connectors on the ends... Does anyone know a manufacture, part number or where to buy this? I need this for my 92 F350.
Thanks
Ford 3U2J14B475KCA, 3U2Z14S411KCA
Motorcraft WPT421
The photo from Rockauto is a bit misleading but it is supposed to have the 4 and 3 pin connectors on the end of the leads.
I am not sure if it is still available. The last time I checked in 2011/2012 it was $116 USD.

Hmmmm, I found this "Motorcraft WPT421" part online but the sites are saying it is NOT the right fit for my 92 F350 XLT? I have the the two connectors at the bumper (black & gray) one has 4 wires, one has 3... Anyone know if this part will indeed fit?
Thanks,
well, having some challenges finding that last part... The 7 pin socket with the 2 connectors on the pig tail that plug into the truck (gray & black 4 pin & 3 pin). I found on on this site: Motorcraft - WPT421 ~ Wire Asy Motorcraft - WPT421 Wire Asy Part #3U2Z14S411KCA. I had the guy pull it and check to see if it physically had to two pig tail 4 & 3 pin connectors and it did not, just bare wires?
Any other idea where I could get one with the two connectors?
Thanks
Edit: just talked to Ford directly and they said the part is discontinued...? Oh well, I wanted to do the plug & play but looks like I may be splicing.
Sorry to see I got your hopes up for nothing....rats
Do an E-bay search on the F6TB-13A576-BA part number above. There are a few hits that are very close. F6TB vs. F6TB may only be a Bronco versus a F150. Same part.....be aware, they are pricey.
I located the harness, but, looks like it had a controller at one time and the installer cut the plug off! There are scotch locks on the ends of the harness to where the old controller was wired. I've got the wires but are they ever short! If only people would take the time! It would have been easier for the guy to have used the pig tail instead of cutting everything! Now it's perseverance! I'll win!!
It really makes me mad when P/O's do that kind of thing. Do as others have suggested and go to a junkyard and get the plug with as much wire attached to it as you can. Then do a proper soldered and heat shrink splice.......no butt connectors.....it will never give you a bit of trouble and you can take credit for repairing it right.........especially if you ever sell the truck to me.......LOL

No worries, don't be sorry. I appreciate all of the help! THANKS
