Trailer brake control hook up question
I'm sure one of you guys know the answer to this one. I have an '02 F-150 and it came with the trailer package.(hitch and 2 plug-ins) The truck came with 2 relays and a wiring harness for an electronic brake controler in the glove box. I'll be
if I can't figure out what I did with those
installation insructions! Anyhow, can anyone help me by telling me what to plug in and where. The wiring harness is labeled.(self explanitory) I just don't know where to plug it in, the same goes for the relays. Thanx for any help!
The brake controller 'pig tail' plugs in under the dash and there is a plug in right next to the computer diagnostics port. Mine is grey in color. I actually bought the plug in for my Prodigy brake controller that fits Fords, and it was just a matter of attaching the Prodigy to the dash and plugging in the connectors. If you use the Ford 'pig tail', just read the directions for the wiring on your brake controller, and match them to the wires on your 'pig tail'. They should be marked with what wire they are for.
My relays were already installed, but looking at them, they are all marked which ones they are.
Good luck!

Thanx MitchF150!
