OK, I have almost got the truck runnning now, this weekend I relaced all my Vacuum lines, BUT I need to figure out some Emisssion issues. My Secondary air pump/diverter (on top of the engine in the front) has two large air tubes, and two small vacuum line type connections? where do they attach?
Also, on my EFI Fuel Injector rail there is a Vacuum connection toward the front of the engine... What is this and what does it connect too? When I replaced my Vaccuum lines it pretty much dealt with EGR/EVR/TAB/TAD Air Canister, Air Pump, and Brake Booster.
Last issue, for the Heater assembly... There appears to be two vaccuum lines coming from inside the cab, one (white is broken) the black is connected to a round T that connects to a bank on the firewall, and (I Think) to the vaccum tree on the intake Manifold. And of course there is the small bronze vaccum connection on top of the Heater assembly (in the corner under the Hood Hinge....what does it connect too)? (Broken white line?) Any help would be greatly appreciated)
What model, year, engine, etc? On my 1994 5.8L there is no vacuum line on the injector rail, but there is a schrader valve for testing fuel line pressure. It looks similar to the valve for filling air in the tires. Is that what you are speaking about?
I just re-did my vacuum lines recently as well. I have circled the two lines that run towards the heater core on mine. The top one runs directly from the vacuum-tee to the spot on the firewall. The bottom line goes to a round-tee valve that connects to two spots on the heater core assembly.
Thanks, mine is an 87 F150, 4.9L I 300 6, regular cab, 8ft bed. (2wd)
I see the Schrader connection, to the rear of the injector rail, the one I am. Talking about looks almost like an EGR valve, mounted front of the rail near the water pump. With a vaccum connection protruding from the top, I will take pictures of. Everything tonight/ tomorrow and post. I want to take it back as close to original as possible, I am not worried about driving it immediately. But I do want it to start.... It has set for a year and I don't want it to set another year without the engine running....
Demon, do you ever throw any codes with that setup? Just curious as to how that much volume in the lines could effect all the functions in the system.
I've only had those lines on for about 50 miles so far, but no codes yet. The volume of the lines isn't much different than regular vacuum hoses. Those are 4mm silicone vacuum lines, they just have thick walls to prevent them from collapsing under vacuum. Here is a link to the hose I used: Silicone Boost Vacuum Hose
Thanks Lead Head, that answered one question, I was wondering if that might be the FPR... Demonhawk, The photo you provided shows the lines going over to the round T/connector near the Heater Housing...Do you by chance have a photo of where the lines coming off the roundconnecter attach? I am getting these things one by one and thanks to you guys I/m not pulling out my hair....(what little I have)
Sorry to butt in on this thread but I have an 88 F150 with 302. Demonhawk, where does the vacuum line from the EGR go to? I know it's probably hard to get pics of that but do you have any? Mine is missing the vacuum line, completely. Thanks

Assuming your 4.9l is the same as my 5.8, here is where the lines run.
After the valve, the first line goes to the top box there. The second continues to the left and underneath the black cylinder to the left.
The second vacuum line after passing under the black cylinder ends up inside this bundle of wires which goes through the firewall. I'm assuming it goes to the heater core, but I'm not entirely sure.

On the 5.8l the vacuum line goes from the EGR valve to the top port of the EGR Control solenoid which I have circled in the image. The line with the green spot on it is the one that goes to the EGR.
Demonhawk, in your 3rd picture where you respond to 88XLTLARIAT, the far corner of the engine compartment , (above the Heater Housing, below the Hood Hinge) there is a vaccum cylinder (1/2 brass color, 1/2 black). there is a Vaccuum connection for this I know it has something to do with the Heater, BUT mine had no line on it when I got it.. I am trying to find out where that one connects. Can you show that one? Thanks!

I'm not sure exactly what part you're referring to. Any chance you could post a picture of the item in question, and I'll take a picture of that area on my truck later this evening when I get off work?
Demonhawk, he is talking about the vacuum line running from the blender door vacuum solinoid located on the passenger side rear firewall. Top, left hand corner of your last photo.
