I suspect you spotted him in my signature. Cody tunes in his area (Montana), and once in a great while - he'll tune for a brother in need. He has a new distraction lately, so I suspect he'll be staying with his Montana customers more now.
What are you looking for? Cody's one of the best - but he's not all alone at knowing how to dial these rigs in.
Have a 2002 f250 4x4 towing a 9500lbs bumper pull 36ft camper. Stock with a super chips cortex programmer, Truck feels weak in the hills and bridges. If I don't pull above 65mph =1800 rpm it is a dog. I think the cortex is not up to the task. Plan on 4 inch exhaust gauges or maybe dp infinity, air cleaner and possibly a riff raff wheel for the turbo later. First I am going to make sure the engine is healthy, then a programmer. Thanks for you input.
Sounds like you need gears to me. That's pretty low on the RPM's for a truck then pulling that weight. Your just in the RPM range where it comes to life.
Chet makes a really good point about the RPMs; towing heavy feel free to click off the OD to get the revs up. The increased airflow helps cool the EGTs. What does the door frame sticker say about gears?
20" wheels implies short sidewalls, and reduced load rating. Like crappy and dangerous load rating. I'd have load range E on there with that trailer.
Sounds like you have a sound plan! I'd also recommend a 6.0 trans cooler and the Hutch/Harpoon mods. One of the great things about these trucks is the mods are pretty well established to make your gameplan happen. And we're happy to help you spend your $ on mods.
Just for fun, got a pic of the truck?

Sounds like you have 3:73's my f250 runs 70 at 2000rpm with 3:73's and my 350 runs 62 at 2000 rpm. In my 350 if I hit a hill at 55 it downshifts, at 60, same load same hill, it doesn't downshift, and will even gain a couple mph. Try taking it out of overdrive and see how it does.
that may be but dont tease when he is also not available to to everyone, and tuners can screw people and never have any thing bad said against them and negative posts against them get deleted or flamed
Many people have never experienced more than one tuner's tunes. So, whether the tunes are written by Jody at DP or Aunt Sue and Uncle Boo they think that what they have is the best because they cannot compare them....UNTIL they experience the difference that Cody, Brain @ BTS, Matt @ Gearhead, Tony @ TDP, and a few others make when the engine in their truck comes to life and there is very little to no smoke, is quieter, cooler, transmission shifts are better, pedal response is more linear, ICP and IRPDC are tame, and etc.
Specifically seek the advice of several of the members on here who have experienced 3-4 or more different tuners/tunes before you believe any any of the hype of a single or multitude of vendor(s). The forum members will give you very accurate feedback and will save you money and a ton of time so that you can enjoy your truck with less frustration.

Definitely sounds like 3.73 rear end. Is the overall height of the tire taller than stock? If so, then it is even worse. The F350 in my sig is geared 4.10 when stock and 2000 rpm's = 62 mph.
Whatever you do, make sure that you have load range E tires on the truck as aawlberninF350 states or else one day we may not be having this conversation about your current truck. This may necessitate a tire and rim change....sidewalls help dissipate the heat that gets built up in the tread of the tires....short sidewalls = less heat dissipation. Properly inflate whatever tire you are running due to the fact that even if you have stock tires and they are under-inflated, the side wall will not be able to dissipate the heat.
I am not familiar with the Cortex but I am familiar with the fact that some Superchips programming will raise EGT's quite a bit above stock which can be unsafe in the long run. This coupled with the low rpm's that you are turning while climbing is not good for the engine. You need to be able to monitor EGT's if you are tuned.
To help with the above two issues until you can afford to change things, RPM's and a lighter throttle are your friend. When you are towing up a grade or against a headwind get your rpm's up closer to 2000-2200. If you are pulling a significant grade you may need to even drop all the way down to 2nd and turn 2700-3000 rpm's. That will be significantly better for cooling those EGT's.
4 inch exhaust will be good, or just delete the muffler for now if funds are low.
Look into replacing the intake as well. S&B if money is not tight. 6637 if it is. Gauges come next. There are tons of options for gauges, coupled with AE that will do more for you to include very in depth diagnostics for less $$$$ than INFINITY. Read about TorquePro.

I've never heard of DP screwing anyone. They are an outstanding group and do outstanding work. I've dealt with Jody for years now, and I get the best costumer service I have ever got anywhere. They are great, and Cody has nothing over Jody. Give Jody a call and he will fix you up. He's awesome.
