OK I'm driving along and I hear this ticking. Upon inspection I noticed top of spark plug and coil exploded. Spark plug thread still screwed in. Now a lil history. When I bought the expy I noticed old rubber socket insert stuck around plug. In pic I inserted there is still rubber and some melted metal (unknown type of metal) fused to thread. Can I use mapp gas to break the fuse contact so I can get socket over thread? And can any one identify molten metal on socket in pic to let me know how many minutes I should keep mapp gas to melt it
Bottom of exploded spark plug still screwed in is this aluminum or another metal by yellow arrow?
Nope good ideal thanks. First problem is on my pic at bottom that silver looking metal by yellow arrow is fused to spark plug thread. Was wondering can I mapp gas it free if so don't know how long to keep torch on it without damaging cyl head?
Thanks guys well burned a little more found out easy out best way to go. Now just need right extractor screw size to get bought size 5 to small thinking size 6 or 7?
