All other 7 came out no problem.....but one spark plug is siezed.. luckly it is in the front,,.i have tryed soaking for hours now and it wont budge...One of the plugs was actually so loose i didnt need a ratchet...just turned it by hand. Any suggestions on getting it out?
Is the spark plug wrench fitting on the plug ? did you blow out the sand and road debris out of hole ? did you use PB Blaster or similar type rust remover overnight ?
If you have already done all of the above , then you may want to re-examine the plug closely (with a bore scope ) see if there has been a previous "thread repair" ( like Dorman kit , a non-standard spark plug ) . Hang in there .
The socket fits perfectly...I am using pb blaster and it has been soaking about 8 hours...i blew out the hole with a can of air...My truck has never blown a plug. I am tightening and reversing with my little impact hoping the vibration will help.. It has about 350 ft/lbs of torque but i only go full throttle for a second for fear of breaking it off and it wont budge.. I am trying again about every hour...on a side note the truck runs awesome since i replaced 7 plugs and 8 new accell coils. Im ready for that ohio hill
I think my little impact has more than enough power to get job done, I build a lot of chain link fences and it has no problem shearing off nine sixteenths bolts if you aren't watching with your doing
I re installed the coil because i had to drive about 100 miles today but im gonna pull the coil back out and fill the hole back up with pb for the night.
