I think they should have gone with one or two tire sizes larger to fill up the wheel wells a bit more. But that's just me. Other wise a 4" lift would have sufficed.
Agreed they're only 18s but even a 35 or 37 inch tire would have filled it in more
I've never seen the Rugged Edition before. My local dealer sells modded trucks like this. They send them out to an upfitter who mods the suspension and all components needed to make it work then the add they wheels and tires. The upfitter carries the factory warranty that was interrupted by the modification and Ford / dealer carry the rest. Most of the built trucks have a $10K price add on.

I think these dealer mods are almost always geared toward the mall crawling crowd, and I'm not sure I'd trust any of them to actually perform, warranty or not. The ones I've seen are far more expensive than what it would cost you to have them done elsewhere, and they always seem to be done just for the look. I mean, who puts 20" wheels on an offroad truck?
I was looking at Wranglers a few months ago and the dealer had one of these modded trucks up on a pedestal in front of the showroom. They had put a 6" body lift on it (lol) and were charging and extra $5k for that alone. Then more for the bling wheels, etc.

Have to agree. Aluminum rims in my opinion belong on the street and steel for offroad. Aluminum rims will bend easily seen it many times and it isn't exactly cheap to have them repaired. The bit of offloading I do though which is only during MN rifle deer season and ice fishing I could probably get away with Alumies (my nick name for them patent pending lol) without scratching them too badly but I'd chose steel.
But yeah 20s or any fancy shmancy rim on a truck is just tacky even if it is factory. Ones I hate the very most 18+ inch rims and low profile tires. Man talk about an uncomfortable ride. Do people not get that the tire is also part of the suspension...smaller the tire side wall the rougher the ride. Top of that low profile tires on rims like that make them bend much easier. Seen it first hand many times...and tire techs HATE putting new rubber on rums like that.
Cash price is $51k its on a 6 inch lift and it has a custom tune...for whatever that's worth from Ford.
I might run down and look at it seeing as yes it carries a full Ford warranty and I'm sure bama can tune it better lol
Do you remember off hand the specs of the ones you found? Brand of lift, exhaust if any etc?
If you buy it, I'd make damn sure you have, in writing from Ford, a signed statement saying your full warranty is still in effect. If you blow something expensive in the powertrain, they will check the computer, and they will find out it's been flashed... which means they'll likely deny the claim.

"Off Road" looks kind of silly with the chrome appearance package. The two-tone they chose is OK, just don't like the chrome on an off-road vehicle.
Thinking I'd be better off with an 05 I found for $13k with 82k on it and throw a loft on it with proper tires not low pro crappers. Save myself $30k lol
