I see in my manual that the under-hood power distribution center has in slot 304 the IDM "High-Current Relay", which I think is the FICM Relay. is a "Full ISO Relay" something you could swap in its place, or are we talking a one-of-a-kind (as in carry a spare) relay?
Or also if I pulled it when I parked, it would be a safe (truck just turns over, but no damage done) theft deterrent?
Me too. If someone is cranking with no start they risk someone coming over if they need help, not something a thief is going to want so they won't crank for long.
Yes, a flat bed or heavy lift helo could take it away, but I'll take that chance.
While traveling last summer, we too, removed that relay as a precaution, not knowing the area very well and not wanting to wake up to an empty parking spot.
Thanks Pop's for the tip.

To answer your original question, it is a one-of-a-kind relay and not interchangeable. The other large relays are 30 amps. I have found it to be a good practice to swap the 30s around periodically. Some are used a lot more then others.
I would highly recommend that anyone with a 6.0 with 100K+ on the truck that, as a preventative maintenance measure, change the FICM power relay. The contacts burn and pit and will not allow the proper amount of current to the FICM. Ask me how I know!!!!
If one were to....let's say find the power wire to the FICM circuit and in a round about way splice a switch and cleverly hide it somewhere in the cab for theft deterrent purposes.......would that switch hypothetically need to run through a relay as to not heat up?
Just thinking out loud and speaking in hypothetical terms to avoid getting flamed for such a taboo question on an open forum.

It would work, but my honest opinion would be to leave the FICM circuit alone.
Great to see these reminders of things easily forgotten. I am ordering one today. I highly doubt it's been replaced, but cheap insurance to do so and throw the old one in the cab as a known good spare.

Also one thing to keep in mine you will need to down rate a switch by about 25% to give you a good
amount of overhead. So that you give you a 50 Amp switch. So it's not going to be tiny unless you use a relay.
If you really want to mess with then take an old
FICM relay and cut one of the large terminals off
and put that in when you want to part for a long time.
