How watertight is it? It looks semi-easy to install????
. Installation is not hard, instructions need to be followed exactly, is as water tight as any of them are, mine takes on some water because I have not put the drain hoses in yet, when you get the rails, they do Chanel water to trough, and that is routed out with 1/2 inch clear tubing and run out through the front plastic plugs in the front of the bed. Also your ignition key will work in the lock, the lock is programmed when you put your key in and turn it, no other keys will work after that.
I bought my 2015 F150 KR just a little over a year and had the Bak G2 Hard tri-fold installed, and just noticed that the panels started to sag and a leak between the panels began, went back to my dealership and they called the installers and they had me come over and made a call to Bak Industries, they stated it sounds as if the laminated panels may have separated and they be more than happy to send a new one out and it may take 7 to 10 days for delivery. it didn't come in as planed so I called back and they stated it was lost in the shippers mass transit system, and stated it wasn't my issue that I shouldn't be concerned with it. BAK customer service manager and I was talking about customer service while tracking the cover down and I thanked her for the responsiveness of Bak, out of her good heart she upgraded and overnight shipped my new Bak rollbak G2 cover. I'm not stating everone will receive the same service but my experience was nothing but over the top by Bak Industries. The new cover was just installed by the same installers last night and too didn't charge me to reinstall. The cover looks great and the performance is outstanding, the rails are closed off at the ends to prevent leaking, it's low profile, and has a seal between the tailgate and cover to prevent leaking which driving home I tested by driving trough a selfservice spray car wash to wash fingerprints off from installation, not one leak but time will tell if this is a keeper, but for now I'm very pleased with the professionals that took care of me and the performance of the cover.
I also have been looking at picking up one for my 16. I think I've settled on an outfit by the name of Tonno Pro. Good looking unit. It looks to be in 250 range.
So it looks like my Bakflip VP is sagging and the lamination on one of the inside panels has lifted. I have to get the pictures off my phone and resize them to post, but as soon as I do that and get my paperwork out, I'll be reaching out to Bakflip. I do like the VP because of the vinyl look and it really stays very dry in the bed, but I'm hesitant to get another VP if this is going to be a constant problem. I guess I'll see what Bakflip says when I contact them. Any suggestions out there?
Ask for the customer service manager, and be respectful and I'm sure she take care of you. Not that you wouldn't.
I hope all goes well.
Thanks. I think I'm going to try to get them to replace my VP with the Revolver X2. Since I posted yesterday I've been looking at the different Bak Industries covers and I like that one. It has also gotten good owner reviews. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
By the way, your truck is beautiful. Very nice job on it.

After much reading and investigation, I have ordered the American Tri-fold for my new 8' bed. It is listed at 50lbs, so it is not light. I am not too worried about it being water tight, just secure. I'll report back next week after I install it. Jag
I just installed an Undercover Flex on my '16 Lariat Screw. Looks nice, sitting flush in the bed. ill see how it holds up in the weather we're expecting in the coming days in the DC area.
Just bought and installed my new hard cover. It's supplied to Ford by Undercover. Fit and finish are great, really easy to install. Appears to me to be well made and well thought out. Comes with two hooks for hanging on a wall when cover is not needed.
Now I've got to contact someone to tell me how to use the lock's key coding feature on a truck with no key!

That looks sharp. I assume you ordered it from your dealer?

Yes, it took about a week to come in. I'm really pleased with the way it all worked out. Undercover came through with my lock issue as well. Great customer service experience so far by both my dealer and Undercover.
