i have a 69 f-250 cs the tranny went out so i went to the wrecking yard to get another tranny. everything bolted up just fine except the shift linkage it was to short. so i set the truck aside thinking i would get back to it when i had time, but life caught up with me,got a divorce, she got most everything, except the truck ,but i had to move it in a hurry. so my neighbor hooked on to it and pulled it down a dirt road in park.is there a difference between a car c6 and a truck c6? when i got the last one it was sitting out in the yard and the guy said it didn't matter they are all the same.he has since went out of business. next time i will take it out of a truck and buy a new torque converter and front seal. is there any way to check it to see if it is good before i kill myself putting it in by myself? any help would be appriciated thanks.
the shift quadrent being backward makes sense now just need to tinker some more with the electrical.i loaned the truck to a friend and he didn't return it for a few years. came back with a floor shift and messed up wiring and broken valve cover bolts.
