Help! 7.3 randomly stalls
Ok so I just got my first diesel and I am very ignorant. It is a 96 350. I've had an issue where it will shut off at random times going down the road. After a few minutes and several tries, I've been able to get it to start back up and run for anywhere from minutes to hours at a time. I have only had this issue on back roads where it had to go through some puddles that could be relatively deep. I don't know if that matters. My water in fuel light is also on. Any ideas?

What he said and drain the fuel bowl. There should be a little yellow lever on the passenger side of the fuel bowl. turn the tab in the middle clockwise and the fuel bowl will drain out. Than close it and when you crank the truck the bowl will fill again. You may want to replace the fuel filter and o-ring also.
