I purchased my 2011 F-250 about 6 months ago with around 81,000 miles from a Ford Dealer.
When I bought the truck, I also got Ford's "PremiumCARE" extended warranty. They said this would cover almost anything on the truck and it's only a $100 deductible.
However, I stumbled across something today and saw that Ford has an extended warranty plan called "Diesel Care". Um.. What is this?? Is this something supplemental that needs to be added on to my PremiumCARE extended warranty? Or, will my PremiumCARE warranty cover everything the Diesel Care warranty covers?
I believe desiel care is a step lower than Premium care. I think it covers the main components of the engine only. I could be wrong though.....would be the first time
Diesel care covers the engine only, but unlike premium bumper to bumper esp plans which max out at 8 years/125k mikes, and more limited bumper to bumper esp plans, is available up to 200k miles. I think the limit on diesel care is 7 years

Smog related items are 8 years, 80,000 miles which ever comes first under Fed. EPA rules if I remember correctly.
Or so one would THINK!
So I take my Jeep in which i out of 'years' warranty, but no where out of miles. Cat has gone bad. CLAIM DENIED! I am told why by the service writer, upon which I stated WTF, is this a JOKE? I ratchet it up and it turns out the Jeep Rep is there. I have Svc Manager and Zone Rep standing at my Jeep and looking at me no blinking...CLAIM DENIED due to extreme modifications on the Jeep "TUBE FRONT FENDERS"!!!!
