I came across a post where someone said it was possible to add a gauge/setting to the blank "gauge display" screen. I've searched and searched but can't find the post.
Can someone tell me how to add to the gauge display blank screen.
Never seen/heard that. I highly doubt it. The blank screen is for the user that doesn't want to see something on the productivity screen as far as I know. Many people run TorquePro app on their phone, or tablet connected via Bluetooth to OBD reader and then add applicable gauges that they want to see.
Lees, contact the moderator who goes by the handle "Pocket." I'm pretty sure he is the one who posted on this. I also think he said that the average dealer tech would likely have no idea how to do it.
Yes a gauge for the DPF can be turned on for that blank page.
IDS is required, it's been a few months but I think it's located somewhere under "Programmable Modules" in IDS.
Most dealer technicians have never seen or heard of this menu, takes a bit of playing around to find it. Basically it's a menu that will show how full your DPF is by showing you a percentage. Once it reaches 100% a regen will begin shortly after. Typically a regen will end when it gets down to about 30%. The menu only shows the percentage full, it won't show you if it's currently in a regen other than watching it count down.
I wonder why they deleted that screen Curtis? Afraid people would obsess about it?
I'm guessing Ford wanted regens to be as invisible and seemless as possible to the owner, so the screen is not activated but it remains available for dealer technician use.
Awesome... thank you very much!! I'll have the dealer add that for me.
Lee...please let us know how it went, your conversations with the service writer. Perhaps a picture of the new gauge? I would like to know how close I am to a regeneration as well.
Looks like you have 4 pages there... As mine sits now there is only three pages. (by pages I mean the squares at the top of the screen) Does it add an additional page once the original is programmed?

Hope this helps.
Do you have any more info on how this is done? My local Ford Dealer has no clue how to do it, the techs dont seem really computer savvy, so they may need more info, but they were intrigued by this idea....
