Why is free stuff so expensive?
P0705 - TR Sensor circuit in range fault
P1702 - Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Intermittent
P1876 - Transfer Case 2-Wheel Drive Solenoid Circuit Open Or Short To Ground
B1352 - Ignition key in circuit fault
P0269 - Cylinder #3 Contribution/Balance
P0284 - Cylinder #8 Contribution/Balance
This is in addition to needing to do new springs, V/B upgrade.
The transmission range sensor went away when cleared and has not come back. Same for the ignition key in circuit fault.
Will injector cleaner really help? If not, I read you should replace all injectors at the same time. Really? $1,600 just for the set of cheap ones. Can I get by with just the two?
What should I check on the transfer case?
I have not opened my Ford service software just not enough time yet.
Just type the word "Contribution" into the search term box, searching the 7.3L PSD forum, and you'll get a ton of reading.

Using Seafoam in either the 6.0 or 7.3 may not cost you right away, but long term, it will catch up with you.
Winter 2010 my 7.3 Excursion was a victim of this when I thought I had a bad #1 injector. (it turns out it was the IDM instead) It ran like crap, but when I added either seafoam or Howe's Diesel treat, the injector worked properly. Howe's was hard to find, but Seafoam was everywhere so I used that instead. I ran it on the oil and fuel side and by Spring 2011, I had leaks in places a 7.3 wasn't, if ever leaked from.
-The front cover
-Oil cooler gaskets (never leaked before the use of seafoam
-Fuel injector O-rings went bad
-Fuel bowl started seriously leaking (slow leak before)
-Oil pan seal and dipstick started leaking as well
The long and short of it is that seafoam likes the taste of O-rings and seals and will cost you some serious money to replace things that don't normally leak.
Because of this lesson learned, I'm having to pull the engine this coming spring to reseal it top to bottom, as well as, upgrade a few things.
As for Lucas fuel additive...
I saw the effects of it on my truck and it wasn't pretty. Performance dropped and the truck just wasn't itself until I double dosed some diesel kleen and ran the tank down. Never again....
On a 6.0, the effects are worse. A buddy had a 2007 F350 and he called me telling me that the trucks mileage and power had seriously dropped off and it was getting hard to start. It eventually wouldn't start and I had to come tow him home. I hooked up the AE and found that injectors #1 and #3 were bad. We replaced those two and then #5 followed. When I asked him where he got his fuel and what additive he was using, he said Lucas and showed me the bottle. I didn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what happened. I told him never to use that stuff again and he never had another injector issue again.
The fuel additives I'd recommend are:
-Stanadyne Performance Formula (Blue or Red label)
-Power Service Diesel Kleen (gray or white)
-Hot Shot Secret Diesel Extreme
-Diesel Power fuel additives
-Motorcraft PM-22
