Transmission suddenly stop working

Daughter was using my truck. Ran over a small curb and had to coast to a stop. Transmission just seems like it's not talking to the truck.

1999 f350 7.3 360k miles. Transmission was just rebuilt in May 2015

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Do you have the 4R100 auto?

Do you have a way of reading codes?

Post as much detail as you can for us until you can fill in your signature and post photos.

It wouldn't be unusual that your transmission shop broke the lock off the connector to the solenoid pack, and the jarring the truck took when running into the curb was the final straw in shaking the connector loose.

A short trip underneath may tell you something.

Trans is a 4R100. Not able to read codes. Normally if threre is a trans issue, the O/D light flashes. The trans level is full

When I have the truck running, shifting through the gears, I can hear the load on the engine change as I hit reverse and drive, but trans does not kick in

There can be codes even if the O/D light is not flashing.

Pop,
I went underneath and checked the plugs at the two speed sensors and the shifting unit. Where would I locate the solenoid pack?

Thanks
Jack

The "main" plug is on the passenger side toward the rear of the tranny. Right next to the exhaust pipe and the fluid return line. It is a little tough to get your hand in there...

The truck is a 2x4

I checked the plug in the back passenger side of the transmission.
The plug was on tight but I did take it off and reseat. Truck still not moving

I looked for any other plus that I had not checked yet.

Even if the plug came off completely it can't do this. Either the transfer case (jf it is a 4x4) shifted to neutral, or the transfer case broke, or the trans broke.

If you start the engine and out the trans in D, then park, do you get a ratcheting/grinding noise?
