Well, what about a 4.00" stroker Windsor crank? People are using them right and left. IIRC the first 4" stroke 351Ws were built using 400 cranks, so can't see why it wouldn't go the other way.

Maybe I'm all wet.

Windsors havea 4" stroke and a 3" main journal and 2.311" rod journals??
well, ordered the t-meyer kit!!! Tim was very helpful! block checked out good, so it has to go .040 as it had pitting in cyl 4. Got a 400 reman crank for 200.00 +48 dollar core So this project 400 is on it's way.........I'll have pics in the near future.
Yes, Colt, the 351 Windsor 4" stroker crank has a 4.00" stroke, 2.312" rod journals like all 351Ws, and 3.00" mains, like all 351Ws. And the block has the same 4.38" bore spacing as all Ford smallblocks from 221 to 400.
That's how the first 4" stroke 351Ws were built, with 400 cranks. Some machining had to be done to the front of the crank, but there were no aftermarket stroker cranks for the engine and a welded stroker is not possible on a cast iron crank, which is what 351Ws had.
The rods in a 351m and a 400 are the same 6.580 " the crank is the only difference as in a longer stroke the boar is 4.000 stroke is 4.000 the bore spacing is 4.380 main Journal diameter 3.000 Rod Journal diameter 2.311 and piston compression1.467 on the 400 + 1.947 on a 351 but the Pistons are so far in the hole if you're not building for high-compression it would matter anyways
