Well talk about dumb luck .
Wife spotted an antique chair on Craigslist that she had to have for $50. it's wasted needs a complete redo but wood is good. I say ok since she doesn't argue to much when i want to do a PnP run etc.
I get there and the guy selling has a lot full of junk and says anything else you interested in ? I say old ford stuff . " I got a 1977 F150 I am parting out just haven't listed it yet ." so I go look at it , just a cab ,bed, frame and suspension !!
so I made a deal complete front disc brakes /suspension and complete 9" rear end .
$200.00 I am going back Saturday at 8am with my tools and pebbles .
not sure what 9" is as door was gone , but at this point I just want a donor to rebuild . Christmas came early for me !

Patience always prevails. I looked for 5 months before I came across the truck I have now. I could have jumped on other trucks I had looked at but, I would have been a lot more money into any of them to get any of those to the level my truck was to start with.
I searched for a long time to find the Saleen Mustang cruise control switch bracket, the 9-3/8" rear end 31-spline axles and the front and rear sway bars. In the end though, patience and persistence paid off since now, I have all those items.
The '77 9-inch rear will be 4" wider than the rear end currently under your truck. This will put the rear wheels out to the same distance as your front wheels. --visually, the truck will look better with the later 9-inch.
The '77 9-inch rear end could have 28-spline axles but, chances are good that they are 31-spline. Chances are also great the differential is an open one (single track) but, it could have a Traction-Lok, if you're lucky.
will do , I should have crawled under that day , but now I have another Surprise day coming . Wife is super annoyed with me skipping around all happy . lol
ok got the discs, spindles,i beams weill hole front end , also got the steering box and brake booster .
rear axle was easy to remove ,I found the door it was hidden behind some plywood has code 13j i think that's 2.75 open .(that will be changed ) i'll post tag tomorrow along with my pics , I am sore and tired . wow that's a good amount of work .

Sounds like you made a pretty good haul on parts.
I'm guessing the PS gear box is a Saginaw (?) Do you have a steering column compatible with that steering gear box and did you get the (shorter) stamped steel PS column bracket from the engine side of the donor truck firewall?
What version booster did the donor '77 F150 have?
There'll be more labor ahead to remove the old parts from your truck and then to clean, rebuild and to install the 'new' parts but, it will be worth it when it's all done. Your truck will steer and stop much better.
ok here's tag on axle
WDM -6V4-7JB

Hmmm....
WDM-6V4 doesn't fit the protocol for a correct tag number. There should be a letter immediately after the "M-" and not a number. If there's a number after the dash, the number would come at the very end of the string.
Best I can figure, the tag number is possibly, WDM-BV4.
If this is so, it cross-references to a '77-'79 F100 or a '78/'79 F150 with a 2.75:1 ratio, Non-Locking (open, single track) 28-spline differential with 28-spline axles. "7JB" means the 3rd member/rear end was assembled the 2nd week of September, 1977.
