I am guessing longer than the first week. The violin is not an easy thing to learn. They never even got around to playing at practice yesterday. They mostly were just learning about the instrument's parts and care.

When My daughter was leaning to play the saxophone. Early on it would occasionally sound like someone stepped on a goose. Now when I recall her playing it up in her room it is a very good memory!
