All - I've searched the threads on tires and am thinking about replacing my current 225-65R16 setup with 235/75R16 or 235/85R16s
Any recommendations on brands? Not planning a ton of off roading in it, but it will see use hauling stuff and may periodically end up tooling around my yard.
Thanks for suggestions. Attached a pic again of current setup.
I personally like sigma tires. They're relatively cheap (I got shipped to me for a little over 500.) I bought a 74 F100 with an old weather checked set. They held up awesome and I did some things with that truck that I definitely should've had better tires for. Eventually bought a new set and was pleased.
If you're leery of off brands like that and you have the cash, I don't think you can wrong with Goodyear Wranglers.
Nice F250 you have. Looks like you have a Camper Special. Me, I go with the 235 85R 16s on my F250s. The bigger tires make it stand out better plus they up your rear axle ratio a bit for more road speed. You probably have a 4.56 ratio and with those small tires your engine is likely screaming at 50 mph. Two of mine have Hankooks on them. When I had F100s, I went with the Goodyear Wranglers as Wallyworld always has a ton of them in stock.
