tailgate removal late model ish

need to remove the tailgate from my 09 f350. got the left side loose and thought the right would pull out. is their a trick.

Any help would be appreiated.

Pull harder.

The one side that you got has to be at the right spot, the other side just pulls out.

Should come off from the pass side first? by having it about 1/2 way down/open, then pull sideways from the driver side pivot. At least thats how mine works. When you put it back on, place a hose clamp over the pass side to keep thieves from pulling it off quickly.
