Is it fairly common on these to develop a little crack in the degas bottle? I usually have seen degas bottles leak at the seams but this isn't on a seam. I have a tiny little leak, not even enough to run down the bottle it's like it comes out and the moisture evaporates and just leaves sticky goo behind.. I can't see a crack but there must be a little tiny one there because I can't see any other way coolant could possibly get right there.
I don't think it is from too much pressure in the system because It should puke from the cap if it got too high, obviously that's the idea and the rest of the system should withstand more than the caps release level.
They get old and eventually crack specially from the lower part where the bottom hose connects. The auto parts store ones crack quicker i had one last only 6 months.
Mine was cracked for a while probably, and I found out as soon as I switched to red coolant. It's easy to replace, and about $90 I think.
Mine wasn't cracked at any seam, just on the bottom on flat places, 2 or 3 of them.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, I noticed it when I get red coolant.. Mine is on the flat area just up a bit from where the bottom hose connects.
