While on the topic, would a brush guard that fits a 99 - 00 F250/350 fit a 2000 Ex?

Correct. Excursions are 99% the same as Super Duty trucks from the front doors forward. None of the differences are structural (grille, dash, HVAC, electrical).
I need to hit the local "pick a part" yard and find a good 'protects the radiator' style brush guard like the ones on page 1.
Try to find one with plating across the front if you want max grill guard protection. Birds can still make it through those bars and do some serious damage
^^^ x2, first thing I did was grind all the welds and had a friend burn in some new reinforced expanded steel. Much better, can't even dimple it with all my body weight shoving against it.
I got lucky with mine, found it on Craigslist for $60, and I got to keep the towhooks. This thing has saved me from five deer and three idiot drivers in Houston so far.
Well the brush guard is a no go. I had to choose between truck parts and guns, and guns won! At least now I have this information for the future because I will eventually get a brush guard for the Honeybadger (my truck's nickname, because Honeybadger don't give a s***!)
