Rear shock question

I have a 2001 Expedition (5.4 and rwd). I ordered a set of Monroe Rear Sensa Trac Load Adjusting Shocks, but made the mistake of getting the 58633's which are for 4wd applications. Whould they work or not? Although I do not tow stuff, I regularly carry 15 to 20 cases of sodas on a vending route.

2wd and 4wd have different shocks for a reason. I can't tell you that reason, only that there is one.

The 4wd rears are 3" long in total length due to the higher ride. They also don't compress as far and personally, you could "make" them work, but I would exchange for the correct size.
