A place called Automotive Electronics is a near me and is stellar when I need their service, they carry Interstate batteries and get my business. Never had a problem with Interstate and I am just replacing because of age.
Dad had interstate in his 06. Collapsed a cell, but that could happen to any of them. The local tire store, I know, kept telling me there wasn't a problem with the batteries because they passed the little load tester thing. On both batteries. He pulled it in shop, and put it on the scanner wanted to keep it and I just waited for him to finished because I couldn't get a word in.
Once I could I asked if they usually test both batteries in parallel. Why don't you disconnect them and test separately I asked. Imagine that...one was at 7v, so that made it easier for him to figure out what why it wasn't starting.

Happened on an '06 I was working on, I told them to disconnect both batteries and charge individually. They charged in parallel and it never started. As soon as I charge the driver battery by itself, it fired right up.
This is also why I let batteries cold soak overnight disconnected before I take them for testing anywhere. I've found more bad batteries that way and got them replaced.
I'd imagine they would be really nice, but $500 for batteries just isn't in the budget.
I still found them on the website. No one ever makes they're own batteries. Always made by someone else and re-branded.
I didn't pay $250 a piece, I got them on sale and used a discount coupon on-line, I think I paid $189 a piece.
I was eating BXT-850's every 2 years, they even killed my FICM. I traded in some old junk batteries, kept the 850's and am using them in other cars. I needed a battery for one of the other cars so this purchase worked for me.
What is everyone expecting from an EX-burger flipper that has not ever had
any mechanical training? And the burger flippers want $15.00 an Hr now too.
They all work from a book that some person in a cubical wrote that thinks that they
are a mechanic because they know how to make the chair go up and down.
And to finish this rant the burger flipper that is getting $15.00 Hr should at least get my stupid order
right every time. Stupid Seattle socialist Kshama Sawant. Like to bag her and drop her in Elliot Bay.
Change the oil, make sure the seat heaters work and fill the basement fridge with beer 😎🍺
Man can't live on beer alone, Where are the pretzels? Oh and I hope that you stashed
some ladies upstairs. After all you will need someone to take the trash out so the bears
don't come in looking for it or eat you if you take it out.
Yes I know that was bad. I would invite them down to help drink. We can play caps
and the looser takes the trash out.
If you shop Costco they have 1000CA batteries. Cheap.
Just remember if you cancel membership, you have no future warranty claim unless you renew.
Costco doesn't have diesel though, so getting a membership to save money will come out in a wash. Who was the one that had the fun there with the tires?

This is what I did for my 2000 Ex. IIRC they are interstate batteries and less than $100 each. Plus they gave a 5 year full replacement warranty on them. I haven't had much luck making it more than 3 years on batts so I figure I'll be getting a great deal as far as the warranty is concerned.
Actually, been proven that you can live on beer alone... three weeks before your body starts to eat itself...
Battery testing... get a conductance tester and never look back... or should I say, never go to AutoZone and have the moron test them there for you.
Brother in law... considered a smart guy in the family for car stuff. I'm a truck guy, that equates to "doesn't know cars" in my wife's family.
Brings car over because battery light is on. I tested it with a conductance tester, showed a bad battery, he say's... I'll take it to Advance and have them test it, comes back good.
two days later, car dies and won't restart, new battery from BMW @$700 with installation. Was a special battery, labeled with a BMW sticker.
His wife tells my wife.... don't tell Randy, we'll never hear the end of it
That your a dummy, never! I grin when they come over and ask how's the car
I'm thinking of replacing, front end parts ( all of them ) for winter 2020/2021... I may also look under the hood once every few months, for no real reason other than just to look....Does that count?
I love my 6.0
Ditto, I don't knoiw what I'm looking at. I have a note pad with all kinds of words and abrieviations so I can figure out what the hell y'all are talking about
