Factory Terminals

I just got the '00 - '05 Ford Escape/Mazda power distribution box in but I have a major question that came up as I started gutting it for my own use. I have since stopped gutting as I wanted to ask are the terminals available for this box still? If so what would they be called if I purchased them from the dealership?

I basically will need all the terminals for this box, the micro relay terminals, the full size relay terminals, terminals for the micro atc fuses and for the newer style box fuses.

Does anyone know what these are officially called or where I can obtain them?

Visit the site Clipsandfasteners.com and look around---they have more than a few OEM and connector shells that might be helpful.

You wouldn't believe how many dealers' parts/service departments I've schooled on obscure and rare parts such as these before. You won't find these at ANY dealer, as they prefer to sell you an entire harness with a new box. Finding the 'dirt' like this is what I do best.

Nearly ever Japanese car or Japanese-linked car (such as a Dodge Stealth) I've seen uses a fuse box from Yazaki. In some cases, American manufacturers such as Chrysler use them as well. GM typically sticks with Delphi. Volkswagen predominantly went with FCI, which was bought out by Delphi a few years ago.

Most manufacturers tend to put their logo in an unobtrusive spot underneath the cover. Try pulling all of the fuses and relays out of it and looking CLOSELY in the valleys and sockets. There's gotta be a clue on it somewhere. That's how I tracked down the original manufacturer for my Expedition's box, and by extension who supplied the terminals. Did the same thing with my RX-7's original and retrofit upgrade too. It was pretty easy since Yazaki's logo is hard to mistake. Sent them an email with their part number and I got a reply the same day with a list of terminals for each location.

At a quick glance, the Escape box looks similar in design to the 98-00 Ranger and would likely be from the same manufacturer. Can you get a picture of the Escape/Tribute box with all of the fuses & relays removed?
