Can anyone tell me if this already has a thread or not?
I'm having some strange action in the turn where sometimes it "sticks" and also I sometimes get a loud whining sound for 10 seconds or so and I believe it's coming from the power steering but I could be wrong.
I know my ecoboost has an electronic power steering system but that's the extent of my knowledge on it. Does it have a pump anywhere in the system that could be making this whining noise?
UPDATE - The sound is being caused by my brake system, not the power steering like I initially thought.
When the truck's running if I pump the brakes there is what sounds like a pump that kicks on every time.
Any suggestions on trouble shooting?

My best guess from here... vacuum pump.
Have someone stand by the left front headlight (I think) and pump your brakes.
Maybe a member with an '11 will come by and tell us if you can hear it on start up.
