Whats a good compression ratio for a 300 running propane? I know 11:1 is a pretty general number for most v8's, but I do know the 300 is a different animal. This motor will be worked occasionally and I want to stay well into the safe range to prevent detonation.
Also, did the industrial 300's running lpg or cng use a different head casting? Or is it just a regular casting with stelite inserts? I'm also interested to know if the industrial 300's got the "fast burn" style combustion chamber in the late 80's.
