Do you guys think I could try one from the junkyard instead of rebuilt to save money? I spend so much on that solenoid pack for nothing.

It's quite possible. Fuel delivery could be affected. You could always try one from the junkyard. But you're taking your chances on it being faulty, also.

Could someone tell me which computer I need for sure? This one looks like it was once changed in 2006 because there is a date on there. I'd like to get the one I for sure need. Here is a pic of my sticker.

Is there a difference in the computer #F0TF-RA and #F0TF-R2A? I can't find R2A on any parts look ups.

Is there any list of computers that are compatible with my truck? Mine had a F0TF-12A650-R2A

But would a F0TF-12A650-RA work just the same? That is what is available from Cardone. What is the 2 for? Is there somewhere that I can find a list of these computers and exactly how they are programmed? For instance I have a 5.8 EFI w E4OD tranny so I will need to control that. It is a 2 wheel drive, long box regular cab. Any knowledge you experts can pass on would be greatly appreciated. I love you guys!

In the photo in post #21 above most of the calibration number is out of the photo. All I can see id what looks like an H-R00.
With the full calibration number we might be able to look up the right computer for your truck.

I am going to guess your calibration number is 0-64H-R00.

If so here is the information for your PCM Computer:
PROCESSOR AND CALIBRATOR ASSY., (EEC-IV), ENGINEERING NO. F0TF 12A650-RA and SERVICE NO. or Part number F0TZ 12A650-RA.

It was the only calibration number in a 1990 5.8L light truck that ended in H-R00.

The Calibration number is the main number to use for looking up the right parts for your truck when the part and engineering numbers are not known.

What if I used this computer? What would happen? It's all I could find close in the junkyard. Looks like a similar truck only it's a supercab and mines a regular.
