front end alignment....
Okay so i took my 88 f150 for a wheel alignment after putting new tires. They told me they couldnt do it because i need camber sleeves....it would take 3 hours to do and cost $140 bucks including the sleeves. Is this a good price and also i will be asking them to do my coil springs. How much more should it cost for the coil springs to be done?

On the other hand, what shop has a labor rate of under $50 / hour? They can't be charging for more than 2 hours MAX if the total bill would be $140, probably more like 1 to 1 1/2 hour. So the cost doesn't seem too ridiculous to me.

Idk they told me three hours so maybe its just so they can make sure everything is fine. Either way 140 isnt bad and i think they charge 70 an hour. And its at a reputable shop so i guess everything is good on that end if you guys agree. So how long should a shop take to do coil springs?

I'm guessing the price they gave you was for the parts and the shop labor is on top of that for whatever time they need to do it? I wouldn't do it myself for $140 and I very much doubt any shop would or could make money doing it for the same money.

<p>camber cams are around $40 per set at napa, and can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours to put in, depending on whether the old ones want to come out or not.</p><p>i have had them pop rite out and had others that i had to cut out with the plasma cutter.</p>
