BFGoodrich KO2 or Cooper A/T3?
I'm in the market for new tires in the 31x10.50R15 size. My search criteria is pretty simple, all-terrain or aggressive highway tread, and made in the USA...
I've narrowed it down to The new BFG all terrain KO2, or the cooper discoverer A/T3.
Both tires have great reviews, and have a similar price tag. (BFG a few bucks more)
Anybody have anything to say about either one? I'm split on which way to go.

Running the AT3 in P265/70r17 on my daily driver. It does seem some offroad and a lot of winter, but nothing hardcore AT ALL.
Absolutely 100% pleased with the Coopers, but my use is primarily on road. If I was going to use them in offroad mud or offroad winter I would definitely go more aggressive; can't really comment on performance in rocky or sandy terrain though.
Since you mentioned "an aggressive highway tire" which is basically what I was looking for, I would lean towards the AT3, but whats the worst conditions you need it to perform in? How often and how well?
Edit: There are tons of reviews out there so I'll just add this. On wet or dry roads the manners are wonderful with some but very little noise. Fuel mileage was not affected when switching from Cooper H/T's. Winter performance is fantastic, even better than expected. Probably not on par with dedicated snow tires but very good. Wear for me has been great, don't have numbers off hand though.

Well I was leaning towards the coopers, but I ended up with a set of Falken wildpeak A/Ts after a good deal popped up.
Just put them on yesterday so I don't have a whole lot of miles on them yet, but they ride great and are quiet. But they squirm a lot. Almost feels like I have 4 wheel steering the way the rear end feels. Like I'm running on 4 flats. But I'll see what happens after some miles are on them and I can experiment with different pressures.

Well I got them from a buddy who had already put about 1500 miles on them. They have seemed to get a bit better, or maybe I'm just getting used to them. Still have a lot more wandering and bump steer than my previous tires did. My brother has a set of different falkens on his bronco and they act the same way with almost no tread left. So I think this is a falken trait. At least in the 31x10.50 size....
