Hi all - I am trying to replace the missing crossmember in my truck, the 2nd crossmember that some people cut out as you cannot drop the trains without removing it. Three of the four were luckily already cut out and had bolts in place of the rivets. The last rivet to the frame is practically impossible to reach from underneath. It is basically up inside the frame rail. I can get a chisel on it but not a drill.
My thinking is to drill a hole through the floorboard and get at it from above. Anyone think this is a really stupid idea and/or have a good alternative?
The upper two should be bolts, one on each side. Not rivets.
The lower attachment point on each side has 2 riveted joints (for a total of four rivets).

OP is referring to 5025 in the lower pic. 6A023 is the rear engine support bracket that some people call a cross member.
Yes as ND said this is 5025. It does have the four lower rivets you mentioned banjo but the top four are a mix. My understanding is that on the first few years these were rivets and then eventually switched to bolts and/or the rivets versus bolts was determined by the transmission type.
Either way, the last one up top is definitely a rivet.
I was indeed discussing the 5025 crossmember, but I assumed all the 5025 installations have a single upper bolt instead of a rivet.
Sorry for the confusion.
