System Fault Help

My check engine light just came on and a few miles later the "exhaust fluid system fault" also came on. I plugged in my scanner and these codes came up:

P2479 b1s2
P2033 b1s2
P050E
P0231 b1s2

I'm assuming these mean bank one sensor 2 is bad. Can anyone verify? I don't remember all these codes when the #4 sensor went bad.

Thanks in advance!

P050E - Cold Start Engine Exhaust Temperature Too Low
P0231 - Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Low
P2033 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit High Bank 1 Sensor 2
P2479 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Out of Range (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Thanks, I changed sensor #2 and everything seems to be okay now. My scanner still shows P2033 and the word "permanent" is right next to it. I assume it stays forever?

The exhaust fluid was mostly full it would only take a gallon, but the light went off after about five miles. Is there a simple fix for this?

Might be the sequence you tried to clear the code...or your scanner is not capable of clearing it.

Son of a Gun, I just had my engine light come on again. This time code P247A. The list says it's sensor #3. This sensor looks a little different than the other three, can someone confirm? From what I can tell so far it's the one on top of the DPF.

Thanks again in advance!

Hi Jefff H,

It sounds like you're going to try to tackle this yourself, but keep in mind that you can always get this on the radar of a local Ford Dealership. What's your truck's model year/mileage?

@ Sdetweil, thanks, that's what I thought. I'll need to look closer.

@ FordService, thanks, The truck is a 2012 with 112,000 miles. Sometimes it's quicker and easier to do it yourself and not have to leave the vehicle at the dealership or arrange a rental.
