EGT sensor question

My wife and I have a 2008 f-350 with the 6.4. I do not know a lot about diesels, just throwing that out there. We have recently had a bunch of work done after it broke down on my wife and kids towing a 5th wheel going from WA to Oklahoma. It now has a new exhaust and a aftermarket oil cooling system on it. I have been fighting the P0546 and P2080 codes which shows sensor #1 is high. 2 of the sensors were replaced when it broke down on her, #2 was replaced twice because the mechanic didnt zip tie the harness and it melted against the exhaust. I replaced said sensor #1 and it still sets off the CEL. I plugged my cheap o code scaner in and put it on monitor mode, you can watch the sensor stay with the other 2 until you stop and it spikes. Then it just climbs to 1421 degrees supposedly and stays there. The light wont come on until you turn the truck off, then the next time you start it it comes on. Does anyone have any ideas on what to check?? I may get another sensor and see what happens.
