as this truck was built on a 94 SC LB,
i actually had to lengthen the wheel base by 3" or so.
the rearend is currently still uninstalled, so an exact number is unknown.
tomorrow i will install it.
just thinning the heard a bit.
as you can see, my yard is at full capacity.
dont need the two rigs here.
have to get the body work done so that i can move forward with other projects.
didnt get to work on it yesterday or today, too busy with drywall
the lower rockers are tach'd
body mounts and rearend need to be done asap.
ill be purchasing a van roof to complete the top.
i have top "rockers" to complete it as well.
gonna be nice having 1 less vehicle in the yard.
the IDIT is sitting on a stand with the cracked heads removed, and heads ready to go back on.
waiting on a tap to clean the injector threads.
a fresh set of BB's going in along with a fresh 093 ATS. and the remanned IP.
need to get it moving under its own power.
axle swap will wait. id like to find another set, but this is a back burner project.
Awesome project, I love your fabrication skills... only thing it needs is either an '80-'86 front clip or OBS wheel openings grafted into the bronco half. The mis-matched wheel openings is one of my peeves, but usually from people putting a newer bed on an older truck. I would love an IDI centurion bronco but they are just too rare, too beat up, and too dang expensive! Definitely looking forward to how your creation turns out.
to be honest, it bugs me too, but hell,
i cant bitch for a grand total of 400 bucks into the project.
the CC door pillars were the most expensive part.
i may put the 86 wheel well openings on the OBS fenders.
its alot easier to work on a fender off the truck than it would be to do 1/4's
im 75% sure its a few inches wider.
this is with my eyeball tape measure, so im not too sure.
i can eyeball 0.0050" pretty damn accurately up to about 0.0750"
but i could be wrong on the top.
ill keep you informed.
a bit of progress today.
body mounts done minus the middle 2,
i need to do a floor before i do them.
i pieced in the top rockers of the doors.
i will be getting a roof later this week, and also using round rod for the drip rail and deleting the original one.
i tach'd the rearend in for now to get it mobile
i need my shop for a few other projects this week.
Second swapping front clip, I imagine you're going to paint so why go through the effort of that without having it match at the end. I in no way want to sound negative, this is a dream build of mine some day with progress at twice the rate I move. Good job and keep picking away
