Second swapping front clip, I imagine you're going to paint so why go through the effort of that without having it match at the end. I in no way want to sound negative, this is a dream build of mine some day with progress at twice the rate I move. Good job and keep picking away
i will be swapping the front clip, but i do not like the bull nose front end.
i really really dig the OBS front end.
but like a few of you have pointed out, the different wheel wells do look,
for a lack of a better phrase... F'N STUPID.
i got a few tricks up my sleeve to remedy this.
stay tuned
may not happen for a few weeks, but its on the list!
first things first.
i HAVE to finish this truck...
a bunch of mods, a couple of gallons of paint, and a pile of parts waiting to go on....
Im pretty damn sure you both would end up as a nuclear reaction resulting in 80-97 ford byproduct of which we have never seen ....
Hehe, yeah well that's the idea, I got the parts piles as you've seen, lol.
I'm looking at his 6 door rig thinking how cool it would be if those back doors were clamshell, not that it isn't super cool as is. And that he may actually be able to pull off my midgate idea, and/or my sidegate idea.
His stuff in damn inspiring and he's got the skills I don't.
alot of people think its skill,
but once you cut a few of these trucks up, (gasser trucks of course)
you realize that it dont take much to glue these bodys together.
ford did most of the work for you with the way they stamped the metal.
the bull to OBS share many of the same stuff!
while i have done some extensive fabrication, these 2 projects were really pretty easy.
chop ant X and weld at Y.
make sure doors close and gaps are good.
its as simple as that!
also, i am a part of a pre 1964 Hotrod and Custom car club, where we actually come together, drink a **** load of beer, and work on a project.
the guys did help me on these.
the 6 door (Dubbed Truckasaurus Sex) we took a weekend and 4 cases of beer to get the main body tach'd together.
then i finished it up.
that project was inspired by my 3 month old twin baby boys.
the broncosaurus was inspired my Brothers,
i had a 94 F250 and a 86 Bronco that i was given, and needed to do something with.
i was going to build the F250 and give it to my dad, but looks like he's assed out LOL.
next project ill be stealing my dads 67 F250 and put an IDI in it.
work decided to go super crazy.
sidejobs decided to do the same.
ontop of this, im almost finished with an addition to my house.
friday im going to get the roof, hopefully.
need to spend a few weeks on my 87 F350 first since its my daily.
and my powerstroke decided to spat a starter.
but i have a nice stack of cash to spend on her...
not to mention, i just purchased another damn project.
so with 2 full time jobs 3 kids, and a life...
things are going much slower than i want it to....
