Hi! I'm considering buying a 60s-70s F-100, but my fear is the same as I've had with the 80s and 90s models where I can't reach the pedals and have other people sit comfortably with me in the truck. So my question is, is there an adjustable pedal aftermarket or otherwise that can be used in these trucks?
Lol for this one, then I have to worry about putting holes in my floor with heels. Extenders! That's the word I was looking for and couldn't think of. Thanks! Bucket seats were the next thing I was considering but I'm trying to maintain as much of the original look as possible. Thanks for your help!
FWIW my daughter is around 5'3" or 5'4" and does fine in my'78. Just scoots the bench seat forward a bit. Loves to drive it.
Hi! Thanks! I'm 5'2" and would love for other people to sit comfortably. That's my main concern with moving the seat forward. It makes it uncomfortable for everyone else. I can manage fine if it's just me.
Might try letting the boyfriend drive and you ride on the right hand side where women are supposed to be.
That would imply that I'd let someone else drive MY truck and nah, this girl does it alone, my friend. 😝😈😝😈 but thanks for the suggestion! I'll share it with the boyfriend for a laugh
Buckets are about the only way to go, or make them ride in the bed of the truck. lol
Maybe you can locate some high back buckets out of a Bronco or newer Ford in a JY?
Will take a little modifying of the mounts, but it is doable.

Sounds like a great idea. I work at an extremely large truck dealership that could help me with the modifications, so I am sure I can find a way to make something like that work. Thanks!
When I bought my 86 F250 , I was told it was driven by a little old lady who took it to Florida for the Winters. I thought the salesman was full of it, until I saw the 2" blocks on the gas and brake pedals. The rear of the seat where it bolts to the floor was elevated by a 1" piece of wood. I never removed the wood spacer, and passengers never complained.
PS: You can't be short if your feet touch the floor....
Good to know. My boyfriend is 6'3" so I'd hate to make him squish in. Lmao I was looking at a 93 f150 that I had trouble reaching the pedals, so I want to find out my options before I face that obstacle.
